Working within the confines of an existing structure can have its challenges, especially if the stylistic qualities of the home are far from the desired new aesthetic. But… This house took advantage of view and orientation and gave a great canvas to reimagine the entire property. 

Arguably one of the best properties in Bozeman proper, this lot backs up to the National Park and perches itself on the hillside overlooking all of the quickly evolving city. Our mission was to enhance every aspect of the property and reimagine the home into a modern mountain retreat. 

Some very simple additions, exposed structure, and steel detailing modernized the form and allowed us to make serious plan changes so the house lived differently, much more open. We also rethought all of the windows to minimize site lines and maximize views. Partnering that with a new landscape plan, covered outdoor spaces, a pond, and a party barn, the unimaginable has been done to this outdated canvas. The result is impressive.
